Steeven Salvat is a French artist based in Paris. Born in 1990 in Menton, in the south of France, he has been passionate about drawing and painting since childhood. Inspired by science, history and naturalist imagery, his work explores the encounter between the organic and the inert, with a particular focus on “petite nature” — birds, mice and other forms of familiar wildlife. Working in Chinese ink as well as on large-scale murals, he has developed a meticulous visual language built through layers of hatching, evoking the aesthetics of engraving while maintaining a contemporary approach. His work is notably influenced by Albrecht Dürer, Gustave Doré, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Molitz, Moebius and Walton Ford. Whether in the urban environment or in the studio, his work invites us to slow down, observe, and look anew at the fragile beauty of the living world.

Steeven Salvat est un artiste français qui vit et travaille à Paris. Né en 1990 à Menton, dans le sud de la France, il développe depuis l’enfance une passion pour le dessin et la peinture. Inspiré par la nature, la science, et l’histoire, son travail explore la rencontre entre l’organique et l’inerte, avec une attention particulière portée à la « petite nature » — oiseaux, souris et autres formes de faune familière. À l’encre de Chine comme dans ses fresques murales, il développe une écriture minutieuse fondée sur la superposition de hachures, évoquant la gravure tout en conservant une approche contemporaine. Son univers est notamment nourri par les œuvres d’Albrecht Dürer, Gustave Doré, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Molitz, Moebius et Walton Ford. Dans l’espace urbain comme dans son atelier, son travail invite à ralentir, observer et porter un regard nouveau sur la beauté fragile du monde vivant.
